A humanitarian organization, Grass2Grace, is brazing up for the 6th edition of an award dubbed, ‘Big Earth Awards for the Forgotten.’

The event has been slated for April 30 , 2016 @ Foyer Njo Njo, Bonapriso, Douala, Cameroon. 

Organizers of the award in a statement said some of the yearly laureates are physically challenged in one way or another but braze all odds to make a living from what they do.  

The award categories usually include female shoe menders, truck pushers,  ‘bayam sellams’, ‘puff puff’ vendors, toilet and street cleaners and drainers, sand diggers, night watchmen, call box operators, mortuary attendants, bricklayers and  handicapped persons with economic activity among others. People who are doing the best they can to improve lives but seem to be going unnoticed.

Each of them has almost 20 years of experience in their respective professions. 

The recognition of some personalities who have contributing to empower  their communities would be part of the ceremony.

ARTIST EBENY AMSTRONG

“We would be launching the “Bread for the Needy” project, during which funds would be raised to assist underprivileged children in Cameroon.  

The first ever Pearl Lady, with a commitment to work with Grace2Grace Organisation, to empower present and past Big Earth Awards Ambassadors and laureates, 

and especially the underprivileged, would be crowned during the event,” Promoter and Founding President of Grace2Grace Humanitarian Organization, HRH, Thomas Ayuk Fotang a.k.a ‘Nfornkang," explained.

 Under the theme “Immortalizing Human Endeavour” the award ceremony would witness the performance of comedians and artists.

US based medic and  musician, Ebeny Armstrong has been announced.

Documentaries of the daily travels of the laureates would be broadcast. 

Grace2Grace officials said the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Regional Delegation for   Littoral and United Nations-CISRI Permanent Observatory Mission are patronizing.
