THIRD SUSPECTED KUWAIT HUMAN TRAFFICKER ARRESTED AT DOUALA AIRPORT TODAY

Immigration officers have arrested, the third suspect believed to be among those who are trafficking and smuggling Cameroonian girls to Kuwait and the Middle East.
The suspect identified as Ngwin Rosaline Lum was rounded up at the Douala International airport January 5 2015 as she was about boarding a flight for Kuwait, where she lives.
Ngwin Rosaline:  You too just a Suspect?

“We have been trailing her since she arrived Cameroon from Kuwait early December 2015, for the festive period. We were tipped off that her flight was scheduled for today (Jan 5) and so we only had to be patient.  And it came to pass. She is amongst those who have been reportedly extorting money from girls, who keep complaining about the torture they go through in Kuwait.  The suspect has violated the 2011 Cameroonian law on human trafficking and have to face the law,” a source at the Douala airport said.

We also gathered from the same sources that the suspects are purportedly rich, run suspected prostitution rings in the Middle East but claim to know much about God. “You need to see the way the weep and claim they are innocent. How they say God will vindicate them. But we have a list of all the girls they have trafficked to Kuwait and the Middle East. They would have to prove their innocence in court. Imagine the illnesses some of them have returned to Cameroon with from the Middle East,” our source expressed worries.

We also gathered from good authority that one of the suspects, Vivian Fonge arrested in Limbe has already been transferred to Yaoundé where she is due to begin awaiting trial.
“I can confirm that the Limbe suspect is in Yaoundé already. She would be questioned by judicial police officers then sent to Kondengui Prison. The same will happen for Ngwin Rosaline,” said our security source, who hinted that one of the suspects tried to seek the help of Cameroon officials in Saudi Arabia but in vain.

Our source added that the President of the Republic is increasingly showing concern over what is happening to Cameroonian ladies in the Middle East and has instructed the Ministry of External Relations, through its Department of Cameroonians in the Diaspora to work towards halting the trafficking and smuggling of girls.

The arrest of Ngwin Rosaline Lum brings to five the number of suspects arrested in less than 3 months. Two other male suspects were arrested in the North West Region of Cameroon.

  1. When I listened to the rebroadcast of the testimonies of the trafficking of Cameroonians to the Middle East last week on Cameroon Calling (CRTV Radio Program) I was curious of the concrete steps that the Government must have taken since June. Am gratified to read your post, President. And really wish that the officials handling the cases not get blinded by money as they administer justice in favour of human right. It is a situation that needs urgent address from every stretch of consideration.

  2. It beats my imagination to learn that up till date Cameroonian girls still get in a mad rush to travel to Kuwait n d Middle East!! Arresting the traffickers isn't going to end the strange phenomenon. What about an intense sensitisation campaign and the creation of women empowerment training centers in towns and remote areas????
