PARLIAMENTARY ASPIRANT WANT SHARE OF NATIONAL CAKE

A Donga Mantung Elite and Parliamentary aspirant is demanding the Division’s share of the national cake. In a letter to Tourism and Leisure Minister, the Civil Society Activist, Tata Mbinglo demands the creation of a Divisional Delegation for Tourism. Read full letter below…

The Honorable Minister,
Ministry of Tourism and Leisure
Bello Buba Maigari.
Your Excellency,

SUBJECT:   REQUEST FOR THE GRANTING OF A DIVISIONAL DELEGATION OF TOURISM IN DONGA MANTUNG DIVISION.

It is with profound respect that I address this letter of request to your high office. Donga Mantung Division is blessed with natural endowments and potentials that have been wasted for a long time now. Amongst some of the touristic sites in Donga Mantung Division are the following:

-      The Dumbo cattle ranch which could be transformed in a national park,
-   The Mbembe forest,
-   Traditional archives and edifices which could be transformed into historical Museum,
-   The Ndu Tea estate,
-   Fons and chiefs palaces,
- Natural waterfalls
- Mountains and Valleys,
-Caves,
-      Natural forests and our distinct culture (traditional dances and attires).

Tata Mbinglo: Wanting Their Share

Your Excellency, Donga Mantung Division is blessed with a very favourable climate, decent hotels and the road network (the famous ring road) that can contribute to the tourism sector in this land. It is regrettable that with these rich touristic potentials and facilities a Division like this is not empowered through a Divisional Delegation.
Your Excellency, we understand such institutions follow due process and that with the presence of your personality at the helm of the Tourism Ministry, the people of Donga Mantung will soon see the lamp light of their wasteful resources. This will also go a long way to create employment and generate income for the people of Donga Mantung. The advantages of such an institution cannot be overemphasized as we have all seen how tourism has transformed our country’s economy for a long time and this could not have been so timely as the country is looking forward to becoming an emergent country come 2035.
We pray that this request be given due consideration your Excellency so that Donga Mantung Division can also emerge with the rest of the country.
Your Excellency, accept my unreserved Best Wishes for you in the New Year 2016 from Donga Mantung Division.

Tata Kwawi Mbinglo
