HIV/AIDS RISK STILL HIGH AMONG SA TEENS

It has been observed that sexually active young women in South Africa are vulnerable to HIV/AIDS. Statistics from the Center for the AIDS Programme Research in SA, (CAPRISA) indicated that more than 2300 girls between the ages of 15 and 24 contract the HIV virus weekly. 

SA YOUTHS: STILL AT RISK
Circumcision and counseling have greatly been of help, reports suggest.  A Health specialist at an HIV management organization, CareWorks, Marina Rifkin said female teenagers remain vulnerable because they are yet to be able to negotiate use of condoms with their partners.

It was revealed that with over 400000 new HIV infections every year South Africa still tops HIV incidence in the world.
